Long Itchinton is a large village and civil parish in warwickshire, the village is named after the river itchen which flows to the south and west of the village
Long Itchington is around two miles north of Southam on theA423 road, just north of the Grand Union Canal.(see map)
Long Itchington is mostly made up of 20th century developments, but includes several historic buildings, including a half-timbered Tudor house on the main road at which Queen Elizabeth I is said to have stayed in 1572 and 1575. The old Manor House in the square dates from the 15th century.
St Wulfstan, said to have been born in Long Itchington around 1012, became Bishop of Worcester in 1062. Other notables born in the village include the journalist Tom Hilditch.
The village was once served by the former Weedon to Leamington Spa railway line. The former village station, which was located on outskirts of Southam, known as Southam and Long Itchington railway station, closed to passengers in the late 1950s now forms part of a National Cycle Network as well a walk way that skirts the village, as well as joining the Grand Union Canal that can take you all the way to Leamington and Warwick .
Snips was established in 1987 whilst I was teaching hairdressing at Mid Warwickshire College. The salon is established in Long Itchington which is located in a lovely part of Warwickshire. The salon has continued operating there since the day of opening, celebrating 30 years of business

Having been in service continually from 1987 we have a regular client base that has remained loyal for many years and as such form part of the shop family. Clients come from as far away as Kenilworth, Warwick and Leamington.
